UltraSpace

UltraSpace is powered by Drupal. Drupal is a powerfull PHP script written to be installed on just about any server that is running PHP5.0, MySQL and or Apache or IIS. Drupal is great, it comes standard with many options ans can be customized if you know PHP.

But now back to the main subject of my obsession: Ultra X Linux. I created Ultra X Linux at first to see if I could do it, then it became more than just an operating system to me I started adding tons of kernel support and packages and new cool stuff like tmpclear. Yes, I wrote tmpclear. tmpclear is a daemon that runs in the background when then OS boots up and shuts down. You can run tmpclear anytime by going to a terminal and typing tmpclear. Because it is a process all you need to type is tmpclear.

If you cant login and you get a login error like .X0-lock XSERVER is already running hit ctrl+alt+F1 type your username and password, then type tmpclear. thats it. then type startx. You can login easily.

I will give you guys a little insight to what the future of Ultra X holds. I am in the process of creating a server version, I just might give it a GUI. I am also trying to get some help from BOXEE "BOXEE.TV to create a Media edition. I envision a media center that has media center functionality built into the OS and GUI sort of like XP Media Center Edition, but stable.
